Janice Hamrick is the winner of the 2010 Mystery Writers of America/Minotaur Books First Crime Novel competition. She lives in Austin, Texas, with three dogs, two daughters, and a cat. When she is not writing, she spends her time traveling, planning to travel, or plotting murders (usually fictional). Her first book Death on Tour will be released in May 2011.
