Sisters in Crime Heart of Texas Chapter is pleased to announce the
Eleventh Annual 2009 Texas Mystery Month in May 2009 . The purpose of Texas Mystery Month is to spotlight Texas Mystery Authors.

As a Chapter project, Sisters in Crime Heart of Texas Chapter will once again co-sponsor The Fifth Annual Barbara Burnett Smith Aspiring Writers Project with the Barbara Burnett Smith Mentoring Authors Foundation.

Texas Mystery Month activities include panel discussions, book signings, author presentations and more.  Austin, Georgetown, Houston and Katy are currently scheduled to have events celebrating Texas Mystery Authors.

The Sage Award honors a member of the mystery writing community who is an inspirational and encouraging mentor to aspiring mystery writers.
